Café Captein & Co is a stylish bar-restaurant at one of the most beautiful spots in town, with a terrace overlooking the widest canal of Amsterdam. The atmosphere is relaxed and informal, the service is kind and attentive. Although the café is near Central Station and Nieuwmarkt, it has never been a touristic place. The food is excellent and it is not expensive. It is remarkable that both young and old seem to feel at home here.

You can reserve by phone (020-6278804) or on this website. We don’t take reservations for the terrace, but in general you never have to wait long for a table. For groups of 7 or more, always by phone! Also, if you want to reserve after 4 p.m. for the same evening, please call!
